What do you play?

As an 80s kid, nothing beat the thrill of the arcade, but being down to your last two quarters was a real dilemma. Do you play Spy Hunter for 0.25 and maybe squeeze in another game like Pac-Man, or do you blow it all on Dragon’s Lair, the mesmerizing but costly 0.50 adventure? This was most defiantly a negotiated play. The choice between two beloved classics and one unforgettable experience defined our afternoons. Each quarter held the promise of adventure, and those decisions shaped our gaming memories. Ah, the sweet nostalgia of making those tough calls, surrounded by the sights and sounds of retro gaming bliss!

Remember head to head football?

It’s 1983, and my best friend is over. We’re huddled on the s**g carpet, the glow of the Coleco football game lighting our faces. The sweet sounds of summer drift through the open window, but we’re focused. It’s head to head, the final moments. We laugh, trash talk, and live for these moments, capturing the essence of our endless summer days in the 80s. This is pure, unadulterated joy, and it’s about to get real.

Coke or Pepsi?

Back in the 1980s, my family and I took the Pepsi Challenge at the Del Mar Fair.. Honestly, I think I was more focused on trying to guess which one was Pepsi than really thinking about the taste

My dad and I ended up picking Coke, convinced it had that familiar kick we loved. Meanwhile, my sister and mom chose Pepsi, praising its sweetness. It was all in good fun, though—a classic family memory from the decade!
