DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN is an Americana Music Broadcast of Folk, Old Timey, Bluegrass, Country and Western, Ballads, some Blues and even Jazz Music from early American Roots to new Originals! Denny Alan and I, Kat Everitt, play performances by classic Americana Singers, Song-writers, and Instrumentalists, through Originals by Local Performers in the Mother Lode, down through the Central Valley, int

o the East Bay. Most of these wonderful performers are Friends and Associates in the Americana Music genre, and are beloved by us and by many listeners! In our forty Broadcasts so far - every Friday from four to six PM, PST - we've heard from listeners from Ireland, England, the Chicago Area in Illinois, Pennsylvania, San Francisco Bay, and even Berlin, Germany! The Love of Americana Music is universal! Our best Listener Base has been the East Bay in the Bay Area, while we've been on Live-Stream on the kqbm.org site. We are so excited and much looking forward to reaching our Mother Lode Listeners Live 'on-the-dial', with the antenna connections! Den and I have been Folk Performers since we were teen-agers - singing solo and back-ups through the years since. He's also a Good Instrumentalist - especially of the Banjo! We still sing and play with performance groups in the East Bay, especially with our 'band': Compass Rose. We Love Americana Music with all our hearts, and put our heart into each Broadcast! We are honored and so happy to be Volunteer Broadcasters for KQBM! It's a Delight to work for this grand Community Station!
