Founded in 2013 Chimera Entertainment’s mission is to feature unique subcultures, original concepts, and underexposed social issues in a original narratives, documentaries, and scripted series. Staying true to its mission, the company has produced several films, including the world’s first Badminton movie, a documentary about the humanist movement in the education of spoken Latin, and a feature na
rrative about the trials and tribulations of being an Asian-American actor. Aside from the founder’s childhood fascination with the mythological beast, it is the various definitions of the word that make it a fitting name for his company. A Chimera can be a fanciful desire or an idea that is inherently impossible to obtain, and we believe that chimerical goals are what push us to the limits of creativity. The very act of trying to achieve a Chimera makes one become a better version of himself and forces him down a path of ingenuity. A Chimera can also refer to a hybrid or a melding of entities that may otherwise be an unlikely fit; so is the company’s creative approach. We find inspiration from that which is foreign to us and pair it with filmmakers, investors, and distributors, who on the surface seem worlds apart, but when fused together, create something memorable.
