I am going to share the basic idea of the "New Jersey "70s Music Show" In the middle of the stage but set back will be a scene that will be a radio show setup with an old radio station microphone a table and a chair. Sitting in the chair will be the radio DJ. Behind will be a sign with the station' call letters and a sign that says "New Jersey "70s Music Show". I will be the DJ and I will announce each song or sometimes a set of songs sometimes telling a story about the original artist(s) or how the song was written, etc. Sometimes the vocalist for that song will chime in as well. Sometimes there will be 2 vocalists singing a duet, etc. When there is an iconic guitar solo the spotlight will shine on the lead guitarist that is performing on that song. I have a lead guitarist/ vocalist who is interested. I have also been in touch with another vocalist/musician who may be included. He plays numerous instruments including piano, saxophone, harmonica and guitar. So that will give us 2 musicians and male vocalists. I currently have a young female vocalist, who has a phenomenal voice, on board. I am hoping to find another female. If I can find one that plays some acoustic guitar that would be a plus. The idea is to give the audience all kinds of songs, vocalists, instrumentalists and stage lighting including a theater follow spotlight which I own. There will be a "roadie" who is onboard that will help setup and tear down the PA, which I also own, the stage lighting and they will also run the follow spotlight. The Radio DJ will be me. I will find a way to sing some songs also myself. As we get performing, we will develop the story line. This has the potential to move from the nightclubs to the theater. Maybe even Broadway some day. The music of the Classic, Southern and Country Rock era is the finest music ever so that is in our favor for sure.
