Release days are always special and Paper Rabbit get to celebrate theirs today. Strangers, the first single, is out everywhere and I’ve already been streaming it over on Apple Music. This is the start of something really exciting for this band.

I'm thrilled to join Elsewhere Fest + Conference in Wichita, Kansas on June 21 + 22. I love events that combine learning and a killer concert lineup and Elsewhere Fest has Killer Mike GTO, Steve Aoki, Vince Staples and so many others. I'll be speaking about growing a fanbase using social media, doing some mentoring and engaging in public conversations that position two people with different viewpoints in a spirited and respectful conversation. Stephen Douglas Wolfe spent the fall writing and recording demos in a cozy A-frame cabin on the water in upstate New York. He's finalized a few of the songs and hits the studio shortly to record the final track that came out of these lakeside sessions.

Tim Paige spent some time rerecording a stripped down version of “A Healing Is Due” and it’ll be out February 14, so play it for your valentine or play it for yourself if you don’t have a valentine this year.

I ran into a former student when getting coffee today and she was surprised I was still in Syracuse. She seemed genuinely thrilled that I was still here and took care of my drink. It made me think of this one from Merit.

I always love bringing artists to play on the radio. I started in radio at WSUC, had a couple stints on radio in Syracuse and will rarely turn down an opportunity to bring an artist to the studio. This morning Stephen Douglas Wolfe and I made a stop to 95X to spend a little time with Marty & Shannon and debut SDW’s next single Renascent on the air with an acoustic performance. This song comes out next Friday, August 4 everywhere.

From a music perspective, this was one of the best shows we’ve seen at . was mesmerizing with a set that showed how relentless touring makes for incredible musicianship and an engaging stage performance. has a voice that commands attention and she delivered many new and vulnerable songs from what will be her next release. pulled a couple songs from the last 15 years of his career but mainly focused on songs due to come out this fall on his first full-length under his name.

It’s been awhile since I stayed up for a midnight release but tonight Thoughts & Prayers is out. Stephen Douglas Wolfe recorded this with Jeremy Johnston and it was cut in one take to tape. I love that I’ve surrounded myself with musicians and that I’m able to work with them on social media. The last few weeks I’ve been to rehearsals, shows, had zoom calls and phone conversations with artists across the country. Some are one off conversations and other situations I’ve been brought in as part of a team building the creative direction and ex*****on of all social content, not just TikTok. I’m also handling the analytics to show how much of an impact this work has for artists.

Along with creating social content, I’ve always loved the process of making records. For the last several weeks I’ve been back working with Stephen Douglas Wolfe to build his next release. He has a sizable catalog of songs and together we have been shaping the sound of his first full-length (under his name) after a series of EPs, singles and 7” vinyl releases. SDW hasn’t had music out in 5 years and today it became real that this is the comeback.

The last music I released for him was the single “Exhale” and if you missed it the first time around, I’m giving it a little bump.
