π¨LONG POSTπ¨I had to type it, because I couldnβt speak it without emotions taking over and rendering me unable to properly articulate my thoughts and feelings. READ IT HERE ALSOβ‘οΈ I could not bring myself to watch another video of one of my beautiful black/brown sister or brother being senslessly murdered by those who are sworn to protect and serve. Iβve seen too many videos and theyβre all very traumatizing. We should still be saying all of their names and adding another name to that list is so sad. Itβs like we arenβt safe anywhere in this world. we have to walk around scared, All because our BEAUTIFUL MELANIN scares you. We have to give our black sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, husbands and wives speeches about how to govern yourself if you are to come into contact with a police officer. We have to tell our children you have one strike against you already and that one strike is enough to put a target on your back for the rest of your life and that one strike is that you were born black. I donβt know how to make my skin color be less threatening to you. Your personal, internalized fear, jealousy and hatred has somehow become our problem to fix. He asked her to remove the boiling pot of water, then shot her 3x in the face, while she kneeled down apologizing, not because she did anything wrong but to humanize herself to this monster. He shot her for complying. weβre not safe when we call for help nor are we safe when we comply. The color of my skin threatens you so much that no matter what I do Iβm not safe. I donβt always believe that one bad Apple spoils the bunch, but if nothing is being done to root out the bad apples, eventually, the entire bunch will spoil.
