Stuart Blythe (Porter County native and professor at Michigan State University) will present "Victim or Villain? The Gary Bribery Scandal of 1911" this Wednesday, June 5, at 7 o'clock in St. John's United Church at 225 W. Lincoln Avenue in Chesterton.

This program will focus on the early years of Gary's existence and some of the political upheaval it experienced. Gary's first mayor, Thomas Knotts, had a connection to the Town of Porter and the Mineral Springs Race Track through his brother and parents.
