Today with over two decades of experience not only in the underground world, Shalev has been writing and playing music from genres that include Mediterranean vibes, rock and roll, and classical harmonies. This Israeli DJ thrives on composition that brings melody and energy into syncopation that is unforgettable and delivers a live performance to a level that is uncanny and unmeasurable to any stage. He has a meticulous nature at curating music, creating his own style, and performing for people in all corners of the world. He continues to surprise and innovate the underground scene, releasing a perplexing direction in music that is driven by the transmission of emotions.
With all his musical experience behind him, Shalev is the future we have all been looking for in the underground music scene. He reigns from Netanya, Israel and now resides in Brooklyn, New York. This Israeli DJ masters the ability to mix his exotic personal style with an exemplary sound that is transversed into melodies and productions that are like no other.
His love for music grew at the ripe age of 16 when he picked up his first electric guitar. Shalev is a self-taught musician who matured through sounds of Metallica, Pink Floyd, and Tool. “If they can play this lick, I can do it too,” is the philosophy Shalev lived by to create a perfect ex*****on of sound. He immersed into a musical artist with his “Black Sabbath” cover band while playing on stages across the United States. Being on the road taught Shalev the art of connecting with his audiences. His humble beginning in the house music scene began after a night out in New York City’s infamous nightclub, Crobar to hear pioneer DJ Danny Tenaglia’s latest set. Shalev was introduced to the turntables and never looked back.
His creativity behind the decks flourished and with the influx of different sounds in New York, Shalev developed his own style and flair that is nothing short of explosive, exotic, dark, and powerful. The presence and connection he makes with every crowd he plays for, and his ability to make catchy rhythmic hooks allows him to execute energy that is consistent throughout his entire set . He says “ When I see the crowd smile like that knowing they heard something that takes them back to a moment that is special. I know I created that “special”. It makes me more eager to continue creating new sound to produce more of those moments for my audiences.”
