My Film Passion
My name is CJ Lues.
Filming has been my passion since 2010. It all started with filming my father’s health talks with a tiny film camera on a flimsy tripod. Over the past 10 years my understanding of film and experience has grown tremendously!
The thing that really got me into the film world was being a Stuntman for Michelle Mazurkiewicz at Wine Vally Horse Trails. Having the opportunity to work on huge filmsets produced by companies such as BBC and Walt Disney, my eyes where opened to the world of film. The scale, mindset and community is mind-blowing!
The biggest contributing factor to my technical skills is the fact that I work with Stefan Calitz, Producer and Director of Hillsong Channel SA, as a filmmaker, since 2015. As a volunteer I was involved in producing content, for our South African locations. In 2016 I've had the opportunity to be a camera operator and editor for our world-wide Hillsong Channel, producing content broadcasted in millions of homes across the world.
