The students today who are embarking on careers in creative media have a very very small chance of making it due to the employment market created by wa**er bankers. Most will leave university after investing 5 years into higher education with a huge debt hanging over there heads and THEN may have to resort to unpaid work in order to get some experience BEFORE they are taken seriously. We noticed t

hat there is a gap in the market for unique entertainment regarding House and Techno music so we decided we would pool the skills together and create a multimedia platform that educates the younger fans of music about the hero’s that created it. Something that is informative and entertaining. We know that we can invest in up and coming talent while creating more job opportunities. We have a range of services we can offer the music industry using undiscovered and unused talent that, in turn will create more jobs and more chances for young people who are ambitious and determined. We have got to this stage because of the unconditional love and generosity of artists and the ambition and dedication of people looking to make it in the world of creative media. Love and ambition have been our currency so far and lots of people have sacrificed their time and money to get to where we are. We are hunting down those individuals who have something special about them. They are gaining high quality work experience while creating something cool for the consumption of music fans. We have attracted some brilliant industry professionals simply because they see we act from the heart and not the pocket. We are a non-profit company and everything we earn will go back into creating more content and more opportunities for young ambitious people who deserve a chance in life to be all that they can be. We have had tremendous support from people so far and would like to thank the artists and DJ’s who have noticed our cause and given up their time to help us. We want to extend our love to the music fans that have shared our posts and invited people to our event. At the end of this month is the accumulation of 9 months of hard work with a legend of house music and fantastic human Being, Mr.C AKA Richard West. There is much more coming but this is the beginning of a new approach to entertainment and new style of corporate conduct. To all of you that have supported us we just want to say we love you and as always we will see you at the front! In a world where opportunity is scarce a person needs to Dig Deep to climb High.

Riffraff The Documentary - The lives of underground event promoters

4 years ago a friend from home convinced me to make a film about life as an underground events promoter. This friend was Zoo project Resident, producer and music technology lecturer at Middlesbrough Collge, Lee Pennington. I had owned a camera for less than a week and had no idea how to use it. But a string of bizarre events sent me on a 4-year journey documenting the goings on behind the scenes of a monthly house and techno event that has lasted, against the odds for 15 years in one of the most financially devastated towns in the UK, Middlesbrough Music Lee Walker Jazzmutation
