The Exclusion Zone is a constant reminder of how fragile the line between humanity and nature can be, and how easily peaceful life can turn into disaster. It has become a symbol of great courage, sacrifice, and simultaneously, our desire to comprehend the unknown.

It has been 39 years since the day the whole world heard the word "Chornobyl." One single moment of human error led to a tragedy whose consequences will be felt for thousands of years. We remember and honor the heroism of the liquidators, who risked their own lives and health to protect millions from an invisible threat.
Our duty is to preserve this memory and do everything possible to ensure that the mistakes of the past are never repeated.

Зона Відчуження – це постійне нагадування про те, наскільки тонкою може бути межа між людиною й природою, як легко мирне життя здатне перетворитись на катастрофу. Це місце стало символом великої мужності, самопожертви, та водночас нашого прагнення осягнути невідоме.

Минуло вже 39 років від дня, коли весь світ почув слово «Чорнобиль». Лише однієї миті людська помилка спричинила трагедію, наслідки якої будуть відчутні ще тисячі років. Ми пам’ятаємо й шануємо подвиг ліквідаторів, які ціною власного життя та здоров’я стали на захист мільйонів від невидимої небезпеки.
Наш обов’язок – берегти цю пам’ять і зробити все можливе, щоб ніколи більше не повторити помилок минулого.

Time flies, and our good old friend Shadow of Chernobyl turns 18 today. Once a promising newcomer, now a beloved entry into a whole new world — the Zone. The starting point for millions of stalkers who ventured in, seeking glory, money, fame, truth, or just answers to their own questions.

It’s been a worthy journey — years of dodging anomalies, uncovering mysteries, hoarding cans, and laughing at Sidorovich’s charming personality. The Marked One set the path, but every stalker who followed has added their own tale to the Zone’s legend.

If you still have the original disc — show it off! It may be a little worn, but its legacy will never fade.

If a year ago, stalkers at Cordon heard the word ‘Console’. they would probably have thought it was a nickname of some merc guy. But times have changed. On March 6, 2024, a group of newcomers went to the Zone looking for habar with gamepads in hand. Sidorovich remembered for a long time how they crowded around his bunker, buying ammunition and equipment, and preparing for their first artifact hunt.

Thanks to your continued support, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone has been uniting experienced veterans of the trilogy with new players, factions are recruiting new people, and the number of free stalkers is breaking all records. We are happy that the classic trilogy continues to live on, and each new stalker brings something unique to the Zone. Let’s celebrate with a raid to Ahroprom?

The Zone has never been so loud before! At the rest stops, stalkers are singing songs and playing the guitar. Laughter is heard everywhere: from Zalissya to Wild Island and beyond! At some point even the Quiet’s Camp turned into a traffic jam.

Today we are celebrating the 6 million stalkers who have come to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2: Heart of Chornobyl. Six million! A scope that is hard to comprehend, but it is real thanks to you. We are incredibly grateful and proud that each of you has left a unique mark in the Zone.

February 24, 2025 — Three Years Since the Full-Scale Invasion

1,097 days of Ukraine resisting Russia’s invasion, or more than 4,000 days of relentless struggle for freedom and independence since 2014.
Courage is what unites Ukrainians and all those around the world who understand the true price and meaning of freedom. Those who have stood and continue to stand with us, shoulder to shoulder. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Light against darkness, good against evil, aggression against the will to live — hundreds of allegories have already been used to describe this war. But behind each of them stand real stories — stories that have been told and will be spoken of for generations to come. The stories of the heroism of Ukraine’s defenders; of children growing up to the sound of explosions and air raid sirens; of Ukrainian doctors and rescue workers; of nuclear power plant staff. There is not a single person in Ukraine whose life has not been affected by this war.
We wish none of these stories had ever come to life. But now, we want to make sure they are never forgotten.

We wish this war had never begun. But now, we are doing everything to ensure it ends with the victory of freedom over terror.

Let us honor with a moment of silence all those we have lost. Our deepest respect to all who have fought and continue to fight for Ukraine.

24 лютого 2025 — 3 роки з повномасштабного вторгнення. 1097 днів, як Україна протистоїть вторгненню Росії, або понад 4 тисяч днів невпинної боротьби з 2014 року за свободу та незалежність.

Сміливість — це те, що об'єднує українців та всіх людей на планеті, які розуміють ціну свободи та її значення. Які стояли та стоять пліч-о-пліч з нами. Дякуємо вам від щирого серця!

Світ проти темряви, добро проти зла, агресія проти жаги жити — про цю війну вже сказали сотні алегорій. Але за кожною з них стоять реальні історії, які вже розповіли та про які говоритимуть у майбутньому. Історії героїзму українських оборонців; дітей, що зростають під вибухи снарядів та повітряні тривоги; українських лікарів та рятувальників; працівників атомних станцій — в Україні немає жодної людини, кого б не зачепила ця війна.

Ми б хотіли, щоб жодна з цих історій ніколи не з’явилась. Але тепер ми хочемо, щоб їх не забули.

Ми б хотіли, щоб ця війна ніколи не розпочалась. Але тепер ми робимо все для того, щоб вона закінчилась перемогою свободи над терором.

Вшануємо хвилиною мовчання всіх, кого ми втратили. Глибока шана всім, хто всі ці роки боровся та продовжує боротись за Україну.

GSC Game World was honored to be part of the Ukrainian Pavilion “YOUR COUNTRY FIRST — WIN WITH US” during the World Economic Forum in Davos last week.

With a dedicated panel discussion, we had the opportunity to talk about Ukrainian code in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heat of Chornobyl and how we translate our culture and values to the world through video games. It was a chance to speak, listen, be heard, meet like-minded people and defenders of our country. The amount of support and love for our Homeland was truly heartwarming.

We are deeply grateful for the experience and want to share the essence of it with these photos. Ukraine will prevail, as it always has.

29 years ago, GSC Game World began as a small group of passionate creators, united by the dream of bringing unique stories to life. Much time has passed since that day, yet this journey continues. And many people during this long way have been working hard to make it all possible.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the legends who created the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy and other GSC games, for the immense legacy we’ve been honored to build upon, expand, and enrich. Without your groundbreaking work, none of this would have been possible.
