We are really excited to have several amazing actors attending the table read for Twenty Seven Productions this week.

After the success of Steel & Iron, Katie Gibson has wasted no time in developing the next project which highlights some very important themes, which we all support.

Our actors amongst other amazing talent (actors and crew) will meet up to thrash out the latest draft of this wonderful script for further development…

Yesterday something happened.

Victoria Gibson at Twenty Seven Productions invited a handful of people to an early development meeting of something very very special.

The room was filled with ideas, positive feedback and a real buzz about this new project. It’s early days but already we can feel the direction of this going forward with passion, punch and positivity.

DJW Talent believe that this R&D was not only important but necessary as the subject matter is close to many of our hearts and we all agreed that the subject matter should be close to everyone’s hearts.

Daniel-John Williams and a small DJW Team (Amy and Hollie) jumped at the chance to meet up with Victoria and discuss the future of the project with a group of actors who brought characters to life. Everyone asked great questions, made suggestions, gave honest feedback and shared thoughts in a safe space.

We already feel we have said too much and without spoiling anything, we will leave you with this.

Another addition to our Steel & Iron cast is... OLIVIA CAREY! ⭐️

Olivia trained in Musical Theatre and Dance at the Urdang Academy in London, where she graduated with a BA(Hons).

Her recent credits include: The Drowsy Chaperone; Bernie Grant Arts Centre | Lead Vocalist; Silversea Cruises | Dancer; Gatsby Girls, Newcastle | Vocalist; Rock Goddess Show, Middlesbrough Town Hall.

Olivia is delighted to be joining Steel & Iron and performing close to her home town before she sails off to the Caribbean for winter.

Dean is a working class actor from Gateshead. After completing his joinery apprenticeship in 2010, he joined Gateshead college performing arts course, swapping tools for monologues.

We're excited to announce that our music video 'Industry' made in collaboration with Twenty Seven Productions for Steel & Iron has been selected for Sunderland Shorts Film Festival! This marks our second festival selection and we're immensely proud that our film about the North East is being recognised by North East festivals.

We can't wait to see other North East talent being showcased at the festivals.
