Capturing the feeling of a space through composition.

Finding the framing that conveys feeling/emotion, brings attention to the architecture and staging, while also showcasing the connectivity of the space, takes time.

Personally, I like to take the time to thoughtfully compose images that hopefully allow the viewer to make a connection with the image, and in return, the listing.

It’s doesn’t need to be a million dollar listing to benefit from this approach, but it doesn’t hurt. 😅

The photo shoot for this listing happened on an overcast day, which resulted in soft, diffused light throughout most of the house. If I can, I like to take my time capturing spaces so as to get them in their best light.

There was a moment when the sun directly presented itself while in one of the bedrooms, and had to seize the moment.

I love a good beam of sun to enhance the feeling of a space.

Capturing small spaces, Pt. 1: Bathrooms!

Photographing a bathroom can feel like photographing the moon— no matter what you try, it appears smaller than IRL 🌕

One way to keep bathrooms feeling spacious is to not try to capture too much in one frame. Just like the moon, you don’t always need to see the whole thing to know it’s there. 🌘
