The Israel-Palestine conflict can be dated back to 1947, with the formal establishment of the State of Israel through the adoption of the Partition Plan outlined in Resolution 181 mandated by the United Nations (UN). Over the years, political and military interventions have led to growing instability within this region in the Middle East, ranging from the 1956 Suez Crisis, the series of 1993 and 1995 Oslo Accords and repeated violence against both Israeli and Palestinian civilians.

On Saturday, Feb. 11, Tech’s Chinese Student Association (CSA) hosted Lantern Festival, a celebration of Lunar New Year, for the first time since 2019. An RSVP-only event, Lantern Festival was planned as an intimate commemoration of Tech’s Asian community and its unity on campus. Despite the chilly rain clouding the unfriendly night sky, the Exhibition Hall became a beacon of comfort from the bitter cold as students and volunteers filtered into the venue.

Tech is in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, and with that, there are plenty of experiences and destinations within walking distance. Choosing housing that best fits Tech students’ needs and wants is very important, so location matters.
