Highwire Records is owned and managed by Kevin Flick (Puddlegum) and Marshall Lewis. The label is based out of the creative college town of Bloomington, Indiana. Kevin Flick is a former music blogger, launching Puddlegum in 1997, as one of the first online music magazines. He wrote over a thousand articles and posts about new media and upcoming artists. E, Stereogum, Cracked, BBC Radio by Thom Yorke, hundreds of music blogs, and hit the front page of Digg a dozen times. Flick co-hosted a radio show on WIUX with Nicole O'Neal where they played indie music. He is also a recording engineer/producer. Marshall Lewis is a young singer-songwriter who is releasing his debut EP, Higher Nature, on Highwire Records. Marshall has been in the game of professional songwriting and recording in the studio setting since May of 2013, when he was just eighteen. He began working with Kevin Flick for production and management. Since then he released a number of songs on SoundCloud, accumulating thousands of song plays. Lewis has also been hitting the road to perform around the Midwest, accompanied by a number of touring artists.
