In a new interview with The Rock Shop With Ralph, original FOREIGNER singer Lou Gramm addressed the fact that the band is not in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and has not even been on the ballot for consideration yet. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "It's not anything to do with our....

Of the 14 nominees to the “Rock & Roll” Hall of Fame, I already have Iron Maiden, Rage Against The Machine and Soundgarden in this one. None of the others will ever be in the REAL Rock Hall of Fame. I had 6 bands that I thought about adding this year and decided to go with the 3 below.

The 2023 Inductees to the REAL Rock Hall of Fame.

ANTHRAX - The other 3 bands of The BIG 4 are already in so it was time for Anthrax to join them. I recently saw the band live for the 5th time and they were awesome! They don’t have a LOT of big songs that everyone knows but do have quite a few that most Metal fans know. They have arguably one of the best Thrash Metal albums ever released with their Among The Living album from 1987. They had quite a few videos that got plenty of play on Headbangers Ball. The band replaced their lead singer in 1992 and continued on with John Bush until 2005. Their first with him, The Sound of White Noise in 1993, was their 4th Gold album and included the great song Only.
Anthrax gets in more for influence and for just being around since 1981 and never breaking up than for hit singles and album sales. There have been numerous members that have played in the band over the years but the core members of Scott Ian and Charlie Benante have been there since the beginning. Frank Bello (bass) has been there for most of the run as well. They have been working on a new album for years which should be out by the end of 2023 or 2024 for sure which will only add to their worthiness of inclusion in this Hall of Fame.

STRYPER - This pick may be a bit controversial to some people. Stryper never had a lot of big radio songs. They had 2 Gold albums and 1 that went Platinum. But they were probably the biggest band ever in the Christian Metal genre. I bet a lot of people would be surprised to know that they released a total of 14 studio albums and what is more amazing is their last 5 are arguably their best or certainly as good as their 3 biggest from the 80’s. It’s not their fault that rock radio won’t play a new song from any older band not named AC/DC.

The band still has 3 of the 4 original members and tours on a regular basis. They have a solid fan base and it is more than just die hard Christians that listen to them. I think they are more than worthy of inclusion in the REAL Rock Hall of Fame.

WARRANT - I’m sure that when most casual fans hear the name Warrant they think of the song Cherry Pie or their 2 big ballads. There was and is a lot more to this band than that. Jani Lane was a great song writer and anyone that listened to their 3rd album would know that.
Their first 2 albums went double Platinum and the 3rd went Gold. It should have sold more than that but by August 25th of 1992 it was almost over for the “hair bands” with grunge taking over shortly after that. They had 11 singles that anyone from that era would know and 7 of those everyone should know today. If Warrant had broken up after that 3rd album I don’t think I would be putting them in. They put out a few albums in the 90’s that didn’t do too well. Had numerous lineup changes, released a covers album and eventually changed singers for one album. Jani returned to the band for a very short period of time before being replaced again by Robert Mason who is still their lead singer today. 2 more solid hard rock albums were released 2011 & 2017. Where Warrant gets some extra points for inclusion, like many other 80’s era bands, is they just kept going. Touring often and getting more fans along the way. They still have 4 of the 5 original members from the first album and have quite a few more fans than their album sales would suggest. And if you don’t believe that then you haven’t been to one of their shows.

Not sure how many people actually see the posts from this page but just wanted to mention something for those that do. Facebook recently changed Pages and not for a good way in my opinion. I have all the videos or best songs from all the profile album covers that I have posted. In the past when I would put up a new cover, it used to be every day, now doing it every few days, it would pull up the original post with all the videos. Now when I post a cover it only puts up the cover and not any of the videos or songs that were on the original post. Pi**es me off because I put a LOT of time in posting all of those videos and in many cases reposting them when the old one went down and a new video for the song was up on youtube. So anyway, I am not going to repost every video and song for all of these. All the original posts are on the Profile Pictures album under Photos. So if you ever want to check out songs or videos from any of the profile pictures albums, that is where to go for them!
