A introduction to Kaleidoscope

At Kaleidoscope, we believe in the power of stories to transform teaching and learning.

We strive to provide readers and writers a public space for discourse and dialogue about the knowledge and expertise of teachers and the complexity of our profession. We believe that teachers are well-positioned to improve education in their classrooms and beyond, and we know the power that storytelling and knowledge sharing can hold in the process of transforming educational outcomes for students.

We publish two issues of the journal Kaleidoscope: Educator Voices and Perspectives each academic year (Spring and Fall). In the journal, we share stories directly from educators. Some are descriptions of what happens in classrooms or between teachers, some are personal reflections on our growth and learning, and some are calls to action.

Most of our archive is print-based writing, but we’re excited to be growing our multimedia collection of stories, too!
