â¨How I stay safe as a solo female nomadâ¨
1. Look up where Iâm going/camping ahead of time and read reviews to see if itâs a safe place to sleep.
2. Text a friend or family member the coordinates so someone knows where you are. Do this ahead of time if the site is known to not have service!
3. Put up window covers! This allows for privacy and helps keep a low profile.
4. Have a security camera! I have the @redtiger_dashcam T27 mirror dash cam. This allows me to see infront of the van and in back of the van at all times, even at night! This camera is also a great backup camera. Perfect for driving such a big vehicle.
With its ability to save video in 4K I know I am safe and can review footage if need be.

Meet Sprout! đą
She was born in a hole in Puerto Rico and was rescued by locals during a storm.
To be honest, even though we fell in love with her while volunteering down in PR, we knew we werenât getting another dog any time soon. We were still healing from the passing of our oldest boy, Ziggy.
Less than a month later, after our volunteer trip, another of our dogs, Kissy, passed away unexpectedly.
With heavy hearts we knew a piece was missing. Especially seeing Koi so lonely and confused.
We gave her time to grieve but knew in our hearts that we would bring a new family member into our home soon.
Sprout was consistently on our minds and thatâs when we knew⌠we needed to get her home.
She felt special from the beginning because she WAS special. She was meant to be in our family before we even knew it.
She had been an absolute light in the darkness and we are so so thankful for her.
We are also so thankful for @lovesanimalrescue for rescuing our sweet girl!

We took the van camping! âşď¸ đ
This isnât a surprise that we took it out before itâs done 𤣠we just canât help ourselves!
This time we decided to stay at a campground so we could use all of the amenities!
Unfortunately the dogs canât run around at campgrounds and every time we tie them on leash they get tangled when they play. This is always a PAIN so we decided to get the all-terrain playpen from @fxw_us
This allows them to have the freedom to move and play all while being contained! We also love that they can jump back into the van whenever they please.
