Thanks to the Democratic Republic of the Congo's arable land, we shouldn't be talking about the lack of foodstuffs, as Vice Primature, Ministère de l'Économie Nationale, RD Congo has done. The Congolese should be working on mastering the production flow, improving or industrializing several types of foodstuffs.
In the case of cassava, whose derivatives are a staple food for most Congolese, Marie-claire Yandju has been working for several years on detoxification, improved preservation techniques, processing and industrialization.
I present the work of this brilliant lady in my documentary short REINVENTING CASSAVA, produced by Big World Cinema for Al Jazeera English's AFRICA DIRECT.
