▼ On 7th December 2011, I created some SEO postcards and matching fridge magnets (same size!) for my website business. As I was just making my latte in the kitchen today, my eye spotted the 2 remaining magnets :-)
▼ I see them every day, but I don't really NOTICE them, as I've had them on my fridge in each of the places I've moved to in the past 13 years. So I just took a photo to share with you :D These were soooooo popular! (PS - I used to do SEO for clients, as well as teach SEO Courses.)

▼▼ Today I was asked how to start doing videography in a local district, with a camera and a phone, and get paid. Here are some of my thoughts:
▼ To do videography anywhere, it's a good idea to create a Portfolio of videos, host them online so you have a link to send people to (like a website, blog, YouTube, Vimeo etc).
▼ When you have professional videos for people to look at, start asking in the district's Facebook Groups to see if anyone would like a free 10-20-second video which you create for them. If they like what you do, discuss prices and charge for the next videos.
▼ Perhaps offer a discount if they pay for 3 to 5 videos in advance.
▼ Depending on the type of video you like to create, approach businesses by walking in the door and asking to speak with the marketing manager, and offer them similar deals, show them examples on your phone.
▼ I'd also consider creating a printable PDF with a Checklist of tips on where potential clients can post their videos, and make sure all your details are on the page.
▼ Print these out and give to everyone you speak with about videos. Some people might prefer to receive this as a PDF via email.
▼ When the potential client is ready, they'll have all your details and will be able to get back to you.
▼ If they like the 20-30 second video you create for them, make sure YOUR details are on the video, and when they accept this as a gift, ask for their email name so you can send them the edited version without your details on their new freebie video. This shows professionalism.

🔻 AI 🔻 Don't be afraid! 🔻 I've just been on one of my author groups and am shocked at the absolute negativity and fear in so many people. It looks like it's turning into a gang uproar, saying every word written by AI is "100% plagiarism, stolen from real authors" etc etc.
▼ I know I won't be popular on that Group, but this is what I just commented ...

▼ Wow - there is so much misinformation about AI apps like ChatGPT.
▼ IMHO (based on 40 years of tech background), and after investigating, I feel that these are TOOLS, not to be used as "authors", but to be used more like Research Assistants 🙂
▼ I'm thoroughly enjoying how to use these AI in different ways - and I know that responses are not "100% plagiarised" - they are words for us to consider, rewrite in a way which suits us.
▼ I've been experimenting, and checking all AI-written info I receive in Plagiarism Checking websites. Guess what? My OWN TEXT which I wrote in the past 5 minutes is 80+% considered "plagiarism" hahahaha - it just came out of my head. With billions of humans on the planet, it is quite normal that any one of us can write like any other humans on the same topic.
▼ These are early days, Wild Wild West, and there is much for us to learn and take on board with all the new technological advances 💜
🔻 Let's do it slowly, with caution, and without fear; this is the beginning of a bright, shiny, new, unimaginable world with fantastic technological advances being made EVERY SECOND 🙂
