Here’s the first public release of an ongoing, bespoke virtual tour of the beautiful Raincliffe Woods & Forge Valley in Scarborough.

There's almost 500 acres of steep inclines and thick ancient woodland, making some paths difficult to navigate. It seems a shame that many wouldn't be able to explore these spaces, so we came up with a plan to help. Combining 360 panoramic photos, audio recordings, music, mindfulness and photography. This really is just the foundations and the starting point, capturing many more areas of the woodland as time goes on and we'll update this interactive map as we go.

I've provided the audio field recordings. David Ruston from Your360: Immersive Virtual Tours has built the virtual tour, and captured lots of stunning 360 photo content all whilst using Christopher Goddard’s beautiful illustration as the base map.

Thanks to Kate Stancombe of The Sounding Space for her sound therapy, Bridget Cousins of Bennett/Cousins Music for the music and to Gillian and Claire of Raincliffe Wood Community Enterprise for their leadership, guidance and having us involved in the first place. Plus thanks to any photographers that have contributed.

Blasting off the week with high-octane sound design for this amazing racing tribute to Vans, animated by the very rad and talented Sean Proctor. 🏁

Amazing credits to .cgi for the Fiat X1/9 Vans 'off the wall' breadvan and for the RWB Porsche AG 911. All engine sounds made with the engine simulator. Credits to ray_nenwastaken21 & mancube for their community patches.
