Now I am just so amazed and delighted that so many of you turned out for the dance at Ninfield this evening on a mucky wet night with all of the difficulties with travel! You together made such a good night of it and it was a real pleasure to be with you all. Thank you so much each and every one!

Well, what a delight and a privilege to be asked to look after the music for a special TEA DANCE!

Special because it is at the BRITISH TEA MUSEUM in HASTINGS. A venue that delights in serving high class teas, brewed to perfection by Rebecca and her sommeliers.

There are likely to be some celeb' guests and visitors along on the day, Binnie Hale is certain to be there as she Likes a Nice Cup of Tea, with Jack Buchannan for whom Everything Stops for Tea. Chick Webb is always at a Tea Dance, and Tommy Dorsey orders Tea For Two. Charlie and me will most likely have Another Cup of Tea, right Fred?

Bobby Darin will be supping with his Darjeeling Clementine, and the Earl and Lady Grey will be over in the corner with their daughter Camelia.

So here's hoping that you too will come Oolong, even if you have to Chamomile to get here. Other drinks will of course be available

29th August SADCASE Vehicle Show at Storrington

I will be having an enjoyable day back with The SADCASE car show in Storrington at the end of the month. It would be a special treat if any friends from down those parts happen by and say hello after the long break that we have all had. It will be a super show of the Club's member's vehicles from the past century, and maybe a few older still. I will be playing music of our vintage, and there may well be a piece of grass that would stand some dancing. Hoping to see you there.

So this is how I looked last time I went out to play a bit of dancing music?! (Note the real records behind). It will be a whizz to be with you this evening at The Inn On The Park at Deanland. Flicky has reminded me of the good tradition of the first dance of the month being 'Posh Frock Night' for the girls, perhaps tonight will be. I do know that pushing thirty have booked in for this evening which is fantastic, and I appreciate that it will be a while before we are all fully confident about dancing with all-comers and I am sure that will be respected. There may well be a extra stroll tunes for any that would prefer less contact and for drivers of orange vehicles. See you all later.
