The proposal would immediately maintain the state's tipped wage system and raise the hourly minimum wage to $12.48 on the Feb. 21. That change will set the hourly tipped wage at $4.74 an hour next week, increasing to at least $7.50 by 2031.

The tipped wage system will remain in place, along with set changes to the minimum wage.
