Welcome to Mansions and Millions, Andreya Casablanca !Known as 1/2 of the garage rock duo Gurr, she has finally returned after a long break with the single "Trapped in Space"!

It is the first song from her debut album "See More Glass" which will be released on October 11th on Mansions and Millions. The song also comes with a music video by the renowned German music video director Constantin Timm.

Beyond excited to share the first new music by WORLD BRAIN since 2021's 'Always on the line'.

"Open" offers a contemplative reflection on the passage of time, the acceptance of change, and the importance of living in the present. He describes the track as a personal memo to embrace what’s right in front of him.

There also is a nice little music video for it, which he made himself!

His music is experimental and raw – at times even abrasive. His GarageBand-based production has never swayed far from the sample packs and synth sounds he started writing music with 14 years ago. 'Close to Close' the new album by Martha Rose is out now!

I've known Martha for a very long time; she's been an integral part of the Berlin underground pop scene for years, both as a solo artist and as a live and studio musician (playing with, among others, John Moods, Stella Sommer, The Zenmenn, and more). She has also been featured on our label compilation in the past. Therefore, it only makes sense to now present her solo work, which I'm really excited about.

She will play live at Tennis Bar in Berlin on June 6th!

"In this ballad, I’m trying to tell myself to be brave and keep my chin up when faced with rejection. The song continues the album’s theme of dreams that won’t let you let go. It’s a friendly ride along a melancholy road, leaning on the mellow charms of sweet country music."

After playing a beautiful show as the opening act for Julia Holter last week, Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist Martha Rose has just released her next single, 'Heart Still Beats 4 U.'

It's an upbeat, breezy indie pop track, certainly one of the poppiest tracks from her new record. There is also a wonderful music video for it shot on Mallorca!

About the song she writes:

“An upbeat lament about the impossibility of escaping your crush, soundtracking lonely nights secretly crying on a glittering 80s dancefloor. The heart can be a strong advocate for something that makes no sense, but I loved trying to battle it into submission with this song.”

"I have always struggled with holding back my tears, and have often been called oversensitive. This song is a dark nod to these maleficent powers, which I long to harness one day. There is a feeling of nightime danger and glamour, and a relentlessness to the melodies in this song, which keep pushing through the emotional walls they are trying to understand."

Working with has been such a wonderful journey. Releasing the debut album during the worst of the COVID times and seeing it become a sleeper hit in the following months and years was extremely gratifying, showing me exactly why I enjoy running a label so much.

Teaming up with a label like seemed like the logical next step to take this to the next level. Working with them, a label I've been following and enjoying for a long time, has been a real pleasure. Shout out to their team for all their work in releasing this album.

'Quantum Web', the second album, is out today. It's best enjoyed in full, either on vinyl or on your favorite digital platform.

Everything about Discovery Zone is more than just music. I don't know anyone who spends as much time conceptualizing their art, and it shows. My words don't do it justice, so I simply recommend immersing yourself in her work. She gives the best interviews. If you're interested in diving deeper, I recommend looking for them and reading them in full to understand what her work is about. JJ is also one of the smartest, most creative, and most talented women I know - releasing it on International Women's Day therefore only makes sense.

Of course, seeing her play live adds another layer to the DZ experience, and you'll have plenty of chances to do that in the coming months. Dates are below.

ll Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go the second single from Discovery Zone’s Quantum Web, finds the project’s mastermind JJ Weihl ensconced “in the garden” as layered vocals and trilling synth lines weave together into a major key reverie, evoking the ivory that might wreathe a gateway from one world to another. Weihl’s gossamer voice celebrates choosing the scenery of this adventure, a sentiment echoed by the lush production, handled by Weihl along with co-producer E.T., that recalls 60s FM psychedelia and 80s sophisti-pop with its warm flute flourishes played by Jane Penny (Tops) and propulsive yet cozy casio drum machine waltz.
