The first time I tried Cafe de Olla was when I was about 12 years old on our annual trip to Mexico City to visit family. My never ending love affair with coffee truly began then. Best paired with pan dulce or buñuelos. Link to recipe in bio. ☕️

Gettin’ figgy with it once again with these Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs Wrapped in Prosciutto. I know, figs again? But I had some leftover and this appetizer seemed like a fantastic idea. Sue me. 💁🏻‍♀️

Growing up I was not a fan of cranberry sauce. My family always had the canned cranberry sauce that was more like a jello. It wasn’t until a few years ago when I decided to make a cranberry sauce with some leftover cranberries I had from infusing a vodka that I realized I am actually a huge fan of cranberry sauce made from scratch. It is night and day! I’ve tweaked it and added different ingredients throughout the years until I got it just right.
You still have the rest of the day to get your shopping done! Add some fresh cranberries and an orange to your list while you’re at it. 😉
Recipe for my Orange Vanilla Spice Cranberry Sauce can be found at the link in our bio! 🤘🏻

A grazing board is the perfect appetizer for your guest to munch on while you finish preparing the Thanksgiving feast. Pick up a few different types of cheeses, a French baguette or some crackers, and other small snacks to add to your board. Pair it with a few bottles of wine and you’re all set. 🧀 🍷

I started brining the Turkey every year since I started making my own Thanksgiving dinners and it is a full proof way to ensure I end up with a juicy bird. It’s an added step, but totally worth it and not very time consuming. I like to let it sit for at least 48 hours, but 24 hours is really all you need. It’s not too late to brine yours! One of my favorite recipes to date has been the Fig and Cider Pork Chops. I’ve made a few modifications to the recipe, like replacing Apple Cider with Apple Cider Vinegar and using ground thyme instead of fresh thyme leaves. It is a dish my family loves and one I make at least once or twice a month. It’s a recipe I make for anyone who visits my home and stays for dinner for the first time, because it is just that impressive. And I always serve it with my Creamy Parmesan Herb Mashed Potatoes, which is the real reason I decided to share this today only a few days away from Thanksgiving. Both recipes are now up on the blog. Link in bio! 🤘🏻

🍎 Salted Caramel Apple Pie 🥧
I first learned how to make an apple pie when I was living in the middle of woods in a log cabin in Pennsylvania that sat on a 50 acres of land. I was going to school and I lived about 45 minutes away from State College. The nearest store was about 30 minutes away and there wasn’t much to do outside of house chores and hiking. Outside of schoolwork my favorite past time was cooking and learning how to make new dishes. Link to recipe on our page. 🤘🏻
