Trump's campaign using our fallen soldiers as campaign props. Is Kevin Cramer advising this campaign? He filmed a campaign ad in North Dakota's Veteran Cemetery in the 2014 election and had to stop using it because it threatened their federal funding.

The cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in a section where recent U.S. casualties are buried, a source with knowledge of the incident told NPR.

"Deplorable" was too nice.

The ghouls who took a moment of unconditional love between a son and his father and turned it into a moment to trash talk, demean and be cruel need to be call out. They aren't the party of family values, nor decency. They are DEPLORABLE. To put it mildly. More Republicans need to call out the behavi...

Lt. Gov. Tammy Miller is afraid of tough conversations. If all we are left to do is listen to the same manufactured ads, we will dissect them. For example, she claims she isn't a politician, when in fact she is the worst kind of politician.

Can you be considered a "political outsider" if you had insider information?

North Dakota’s Lieutenant Governor wants you to believe she is an “outsider.” Just scroll on any website. The banner ads will tell you. Repeatedly. My question, can you really be considered an “outsider” when you likely had the insider information about your boss’s – the Governor of No...

All the legitimate concerns about the troubles at the border and its impacts on Americans as repeated for the past decade are pushed aside for partisan politics in an election year. A tale as old as time, but perhaps not as obvious as in this moment. They can’t help themselves.

Don’t tell us it is a crisis when you’re guilty of squandering the latest opportunity to address conditions at the southern border. A bipartisan negotiation to address the humanitarian crisis is in limbo simply because Donald Trump and Republicans are afraid it might bolster up President Biden.....

Earlier this year, lawmakers were caught abusing their process by throwing unrelated policy decisions into the Office of Management and Budget bill. They had been doing this for years. Business as usual. Until they got caught and were forced into a special session. Now, a lawmaker with a cozy relationship to the former Attorney General allegedly steered state dollars to his private businesses. Some think that is business as usual. Until he got caught and will now have his day in court.

Republican Representative Jason Dockter has been charged with a class A misdemeanor. Charges were brought because of his involvement with the Attorney General’s building and the cost overrun. These charges were brought by State’s Attorney Lad Erickson who received the criminal referral following...

It was a hot mic and window into the attitude some lawmakers have about the federal charges against Ray Holmberg. A shoulder shrug and a joke. It is no laughing matter.

Cover meals for students in public school? Absolutely not. Increase what we are reimbursed for our lunches? Of course!

Self serving? Without question. Here are the ND Senators that voted against children but for themselves when it comes to covering food costs.

The names in red voted against $6 million for feeding students in public schools. I'd contact them and ask them to reconsider.

I wonder how many of them went to church yesterday and voted against feeding kids today.

I can't believe all these years later I need to continue to share this article, but the lie continues.

The political debate surrounding the Republican decision to cut the oil extraction tax in 2015 continues over two years later. Rightly so, because this rushed change to North Dakota’s oil tax collections is having profound long-term impacts on our state budget. Moreover, the Republican decision to...

About a month ago, I had brunch with a longtime friend and her husband, who teaches kindergarten, in suburban Maryland. By now you may have learned that North Dakota’s Senator John Hoeven was one of eight Republican Senators to spend our Independence Day in Russia. July 4th was only one of the multi-day trip Hoeven and his seven colleagues spent in the region. If you hadn’t heard about it until now, that may be b...

A lot of us talk about inflation and how it’s been impacting our bank accounts. The inflation rate has been setting records. Bread, milk, parts, nearly everything has gone up. But you already know that. People have admitted there are things needed to be done. Republicans and Democrats. Yet in Washington, only one of those parties showed up for their shift this week.
