Marian Jean Hose LLC is a custom costume crafts studio based in Pennsylvania. Begun by Marian "Killer" Hose in 2004, the Poconos studio works with top designers, retailers, and Broadway costume shops to create high-quality handmade pieces. Killer specializes in wirework, character bodies and heads, masks, millinery, theatrical armor, wings, and display props. Whether for fashion, Broadway, televis
ion, or advertising, Killer and her team use their technical expertise to make the designer's vision a functional and beautiful reality.
My studio's lion cub made for the Milwaukee Ballet's, The Nutcracker: Drosselmeyer’s Imaginarium, costumes designed by Greg Poplyk, directed by Michael Pink. My shop made the headpiece and fur accessories, and I commissioned Parsons-Meares Ltd. to make some of their fantastic unitards. This cub does everything from a cartwheel to spin like a top.
