Out For Change: Transformative Media Organizing Project The Out for Change: Transformative Media Organizing Project links LGBTQ, 2S, & allied media makers, online organizers, and tech-activists across the US.

In 2013-2014, we are conducting a strengths/needs assessment of the media & organizing capacity of our LGBTQ and Two-Spirit movement(s) and facilitating skillshares and workshops around transformative media organizing. The project is guided by project partners from organizations that work with LGBTQTS folks, especially People of Color, working class, immigrant, rural, and other LGBTQTS communities

most impacted by structural injustices. The project is supported by faculty and staff at the MIT Center for Civic Media and by the Ford Foundation’s Advancing LGBT Rights Initiative. Who We Are:
The Out for Change project is based at MIT’s Center for Civic Media, and activities are guided by the project partners, composed of people from 7 LGBTQTS movement groups. The project will also create a group of project advisors to support the research as well as skillshares. Our project team includes:
