FYI, we're coming back online soon with new/old music. It's the same style, hundreds of violins everywhere. But a new music library. Then about half of the older Library will be slowly but surely added back to it. No estimated start date yet, but I wanted you all to know that the fat lady hasn't sung yet!!
I just discovered that one of my favorite pianists died on July 6th. His name is Peter Nero.
I saw him live with the Dallas Symphony about 27 years ago or so. Great show, great pianist, great performance. I wish I'd been able to see him more.

We didn't do anything special for Christmas this year. But we will have new Christmas music next year, hopefully. And our unbelievably gifted announcer and an Airstream FM fan, Jeff Lawrence will be presenting Christmas wishes for all. This is a 1986 32-foot Airstream Argosy from a six-year period of time when Airstream revived the Argosy name to go on a slightly square Airstream. It will soon be up for sale. It's an excellent product, an excellent travel trailer.

Okay children. Since things seem to be going well so far, let's take an informal poll. When Airstream FM began, we streamed at 32 kbps AAC Plus. We also streamed at 128kbps MP3. 128 allows most people to listen today and still gives really good sound for internet radio. The negative in going higher is, a higher bitrate than 128 uses more data for the listener. We have the ability to up the bitrate. But we only want to have one stream.

Is 128kbps okay or would you prefer higher, using more data for the listener?

If you would like higher, how high?

As of 6 p.m. Central Daylight Time, we are online with a substitute computer and programming and nothing bizarre happening at the moment.
However with the way things have been so far in the year 2020, we could probably have martians👽 invade at any minute and change things 👾, and we wouldn't realize it until it happened!! 🤖

We are so grateful for our many listeners. And I apologize for us having so many problems the last couple of years. Several of you have noticed that we were online with no audio. You may have heard some strange noises instead of music. That is certainly what I heard earlier when I tuned in.
After a couple of people wrote me, I tuned in a little while ago and checked the computer. I actually had the stream coming in on my phone because I don't always listen through a sound system.
After hearing silence for a few minutes I thought I may have accidentally called someone. I heard someone on my phone. It sounded like they were walking or moving things around in a room. But it was supposed to be playing Henry Mancini. I'm not sure what happened. I'm really not sure if we got hacked or what. But it was bizarre. So I took the stream offline and of course the sounds I was hearing ended. But there are still some problems, I'm not sure yet what it is. We will get back online soon, even if I have to totally go Linux to do it!

UPDATE:
First started out as a software glitch. Now, the internet must be overwhelmed because, we have internet but we can't get online. So, within the next two days I'm trying something new to work around it.
Are this many people sitting online at home everyday who used to work someplace? It seems so.
