Day 2 of Wave-Gotik-Treffen round-up. Our stroll through the pagan village allowed us to discover the crowd-pleasing pagan metal force Vera Lux. Our evening was filled with synthwave soundscapes by Martial Canterel, another arresting performance with powerful visuals by Position Parallèle before ending with memorable darkwave and coldwave performances by new bands Dead Astronauts and ABU NEIN. The stage presence of both bands was striking and their visuals quite impressive.We can't wait to see them perform in London some time soon! Wave Gotik Treffen (WGT)
1st Day at Wave-Gotik-Treffen round-up. Beloved Peter Heppner had everyone mesmerised and feeling nostalgic with his olders songs, at agra. He is a much loved musician and this was very evident! We then run to Volkspalast Kuppelhalle for an arresting performance by Dernière Volonté before joining the crowds for the midnight special of Ladytron. How do data sound like?Is their sound different when they represent climate crisis as a function of consumption patterns? This was no ordinary performance but it is the one that closes our year of #livemusic and perhaps the circle of life of I K L E C T I K.
