Ask any Indian about his country and he will tell you a number of problems with this country : Corruption,Inequality,Poverty,Pollution,Disunity and a whole lot more
We are all very vocal in complaining about the problems in our country and demanding better governance,better roads,better jobs,better education,women's safety etc. But do we ever ask ourselves what we have done for our country? We ar
e always demanding and blaming the system for everything
But are we not also a part of this system;of this nation? Isn't it our responsibility that we pay our taxes and follow the laws of the country? It is not necessary that we join the army and sacrifice our life to show our love for our nation
Just some simple acts like :
>Peeing in the public urinal instead of on the side of the road;
>Not spitting paan/gutka anywhere we like;
>Waiting patiently in queues also shows how much we care for our country
It is not necessary that we become an MP/MLA or an IAS to work for our country
>Teaching our maid's children for free or
>Not taking bribes or
>Giving away used clothes to the beggars in the streets is also working for our nation
With this in mind we started Proud to be Indian
Proud to be an Indian is an initiative to :
1.Connect all Indians to our culture,history,traditions,arts,literature,language,achievements
and to be proud of our identity as Indians.
2.We look at areas where we need to make a change and spark that change through public debates,discussions and local movements
3.We bring out stories and successes of ordinary individuals who are working to make a change for a better India and share that stories far and wide
4.Last but not the least if any Indian feels passionate,concerned or proud about his country and wants to work for even one issue;
WE ARE THERE TO PROVIDE OUR FULL SUPPORT BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE
