First off, let me say Happy Pride to all! And in that same spirit on the last episode of Teen Girl Talk I was asked to share my q***r reading list. So in no particular order here it is.

Real Q***r America by Samantha Allen: Samantha Allen takes a trip through the red states to the find the LGBTQIA+ people that live there. This is a fascinating book that I read in a day because I couldn't put it down.

Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan: Two boys attempt to break the world record for kissing while other q***r people go about their days and the ways that they do. I love slice of life/day in the life type books. Also, it's David Levithan, he's an incredible author. Which brings me to...

Every Day by David Levithan: A beautiful book that examines love and the illusion of gender. The main character, A, falls in love but one of the main problems is that A bounces into a new body every day. Super fascinating concept and well written to boot.

Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars by Kai Cheng Thom: I honestly don't want to describe this one because I feel like this should be experienced blind.

Bingo Love by Tee Franklin: Two young women meet in church in 1963 and instantly fall in love. They're separated though by the times and society but come together later in life to rekindle the flames of their love. THIS BOOK MADE ME CRY. The art is beautiful and the writing is phenomenal.

Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl by Carrie Brownstein: a memoir of the Sleator Kinney frontwoman. A terrific read.
