Tom Mathews is currently part of the Rhythmfire Sessions crew and resides in Richmond, VA.
Tom always had a love for music, whether it was creating mix CD’s for friends or learning & understanding various types of genres. He was hooked on Electronic music in the late 90’s and has been following the scene going to Nightclubs & Festivals and DJing at local venues in Richmond and DC.
Some of the venues Tom has spun at include: Soundcheck DC, Ultrabar DC, The Canal Club, New York Deli and Commonwealth Restaurant & Skybar. These opportunities allowed him to open up for talents such as: Brohug, George Tsakiris, Owen Alek, Philophonic and Teresa Ann.
In 2012 he discovered DJing, mixing and blending music, ever since then he was hooked on creating mixes and sharing music for the masses to enjoy. Tom first started out by burning mix CD’s for friends, handing out business cards and eventually DJing free parties for close friends. In 2018 Tom collaborated on a project with his brother Michael Mathews as “LAZ3RUS” to produce music and eventually open up for Brohug at Soundcheck DC.
