The quest for great underwater shots is a constant challenge that I’ve always accepted. For years I was content just plucking the latest and greatest GoPros subsurface when the timing was right. When the acrylic domes became readily obtainable that was the obvious next step. Nowadays I use .com.hk underwater housing with a solid glass dome - designed to specifically fit mirrorless and cine-cams, as well as the latest and greatest lenses. I use my Sony Alpha 7iii exclusively in this housing with my Sony Gmaster 16-35mm 2.8 lens. It’s nowhere as easy as just dunking a GoPro into the water and calls for attention to settings and light. No processed images - no social ready clips or shots. But the battle creates the bliss.

I am incredibly honoured to have won the Stimmies awards for Still2. Honestly, I never shoot these videos with festivals or competitions in mind. It’s an outlet for creativity.
