A week ago a friend and mentor to me, Scott Ross, stepped into the presence of the Lord.

In later years, Scott was known for his powerful, no nonsense interviews with entertainment stars on the CBN Network. But his legacy goes much farther back. In 1969, he launched The Scott Ross Show which featured the earliest of Jesus Music and secular "God Rock" and spread it across the United States, taking advantage of a then government mandated requirement of "public service" programming to be included in radio station's schedules each week. The stations typically chose religious shows to fill that need and programmed them early on Sunday mornings when few of their regular listeners tuned in. Scott sent his show out free of charge and since it sounded just like the regular formats of these stations, it was a huge hit, and helped establish and expand Jesus Music around the world.

Scott was one of two mentors (Paul Baker being the other) who encouraged me to follow in his footsteps ("the more the better, brother") and later asked my help in reestablishing a broken friendship with an artist, which I was more than happy to do. Please pray for God's peace to engulf his wife Nedra and their family. Thanks Scott, your love for the Savior has touched millions of hearts around the world with a life well lived.

Hey everyone. As some of you know, we had a large library of LPs and CDs when Jesus Music Oldies was broadcasting. Over the past year, I've started liquidating the library on Discogs as well as person to person. I'm currently creating a spreadsheet that is available to anyone who wants it. It's incomplete but I'll continue to update it.

If you shop Discogs, you've probably heard by now of the big changes that will happen there on May 22. Their overall sellers fee will go from 8% to 9%. But the big and bad news is they are going to slap on a 9% fee on shipping, even though they have nothing to do with shipping. It's an out and out money grab. Corporate greed. So I will, in the future, concentrate on selling out my collection direct to the buyer.

But, until the 22nd, I'm doing a $1.75 blow out sale at Discogs. The majority of the CCM, Gospel, and a few general market LPs are at $1.75 plus S&H, with a few big ticket items still there. First come first serve. Do pay attention to the condition descriptions for each record as a few are in "place holder" condition. Prices with new shipping costs will go back up the 22nd to reflect the Discogs gouge. At that time, I'll focus on sending out my lists privately to save everyone a total of 10%. Thanks for reading! To anyone who does not know us we want to RE-introduce ourselves. Let's go back to "The Early Years" - The month was February of 1970 when four young hippies: Chuck Girard, Tommy Coomes, Jay Truax, and Fred Field, found their way to the one true God during what is now known as “The Jesus Movement”. The group began to attend the Calvary Chapel Church in Costa Mesa, CA, and asked Pastor Chuck Smith if they could sing for him and possibly the church. Pastor Chuck was moved to tears by the group's first song, "Welcome Back".

Joined by band members John Mehler and Bob Wall, Love Song continued to play at Calvary Chapel and also began to tour nationally and abroad as they made their way to prominence through this new spiritual awakening. They quickly released their first album "Love Song" in 1972, and continued to blaze the trail to what is known today as Contemporary Christian Music.

No doubt most of you have heard about it by now. After what some thought was the mislabeled and history-shallow movie The Jesus Music, a new movie is about to be released this Friday in theaters across the country. Jesus Revolution is based on the lives of Pastor Chuck Smith, hippie minister Lonnie Frisbee, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, and the Jesus Music that exploded from there. I've seen a couple of clips and what I saw was very good and very moving. With Kelsey Grammer as Chuck and Jonathan Roumie (The Chosen) as Lonnie. Here's hoping!

A discussion on these artists' thoughts on what is needed for another Jesus Revolution.

We are thrilled to announce a once-in-a-lifetime event: "CREATING A NEW SONG OF DELIVERANCE & HOPE" on February 11, 2023 at 7 PM Eastern time. Alas, two more have exited this realm for the next, both fabulous guitarists and deeply devoted believers.

In December, we lost Harvey Jett, who rose to great southern rock fame with Black Oak Arkansas before finding Jesus, the true rock. And Monday, Tom Green, who traveled and sang with his wife as Tom & Sherry Green, stepped out of his earth suit and into eternity.

Please keep their families in your prayers.
