This week I came across several stories of women becoming homeless over content creation and I couldn’t help but relate. Not saying I’m homeless but I understand the drive to risk it all for a passion project or manifesting a lifestyle you see over and over on social media. I’ve been creating content on YouTube for 15 years but it was only till 2021 I looked at it as a business and potentially a path that could give me everything I want. A big part of why these women became homeless is because of poor planning, not an enough research and being Gas lit. Because I saw all the creators selling dreams, they made me feel I could do it too. It’s been 3 years and the longer ive managed to grow on these platforms the more I realized I was never going to win the way I wanted. I would love to go more in detail about this topic because the truth needs to be said. DONT QUIT YOUR JOB FOR PASSION PROJECTS, your favorite creators have a 9-5 they just aren’t telling you.
