Surprise! Merry Christmas! We have a song release gift for you today! This song is dear to us, as are the people it was written for. If you have been to one of our recent Hope Shows, you have heard it and now we want you to HAVE the demo version of it! Flower That Blooms In The Night will be the title song for a project we have been lovingly working on for a couple of years. We have been curious about the miraculous resilience that exists inside of chronic sufferers. We have been interviewing people we know who live in this space. They have been so generous with their stories and we have learned so much.We are not interested in writing sad songs about suffering. There are plenty of those. We are interested in creating art about resilience and intimacy, about impossible places of desolation where hope pushes it’s relentless blooms out of dry ground. We will keep you posted on our progress, we have some special things planned for you. But for now, the demo version of this song is streamable everywhere. Send it to someone you know who is impossibly resilient.Love,Barry & Michelle#chronicpain #suffering #chronicillness

Rehearsed last night with the OG. ❤️ Come on out to our Hope Show in Woodland Park tonight! Doors open at 6:30.👍🏻
Sammy bought me tix to @stephen.wilson.jr for Mother’s Day and it was one of my fave shows of all time. Here’s me doing the mom-bounce to “The Devil”. I am NUTS for this song. I let my songwriting students analyze it! Stephen won’t be playing small venues anymore, I’m sure of that, so this was an incredible opportunity to hear him like this. Still have the warm fuzzies. ❤️
Dad is getting ready to record a fabulous new album and Darren and I were hashing out harmonies with him last night.❤️
