Cancer Update: I just want to share with everyone that I am officially 2 years in remission. What that means for my type of cancer, which was Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma, is that I no longer need to get monthly preventive chemo treatments and I'm cancer free.

Although, we can't ever say never, the chance of it returning are slim.

Thank you to all of you that encouraged me during my fight and remember to always check in with those you love that are fighting this horrible disease. It's not easy!

I have so much to share with everyone and hope you all stay connected as I continue to share my journey through recovery and as a business owner and entrepreneur.

So excited to share... stay tuned.

Live Like Locals is searching for community influencers who love sharing content. We're looking for people who have dreamt of becoming a news anchor, reporter, or a local influencer. How about hosting your own show? Do you love to be invited to events? Love being in front of the camera?

Live Like Locals is looking to help a talented group of people achieve just that. The people we are looking for need to be self-inspired to want to be more and achieve more. They need to be charismatic and be able to have a flexible time. This isn't a traditional 9 to 5.

This isn't a full time job. This is a training opportunity for someone with a vision but needs a team to help hone their skills. We help provide you with the platform to show what you have and see if we can build a following with you (both yours and ours).

Do you think you have the talent to attract others to follow the Live Like Locals brand? Are you willing to work hard to get better in front of the camera and the community? Do you have a just won't quit attitude?
Then, we may just want to work with you. Submit a video to [email protected] and pretend to be reporting about a local event and show us why you should be part of the team. You just may be invited to an upcoming event to audition live.

Jax Beach: Please see the temporary shut down notice for Jacksonville Beach.

Effective immediately, the City of Jacksonville Beach will shut down due to Information Systems issues.

What does this mean?

* City Hall and Parks and Recreation facilities including the Tennis Center and the Golf Course will be closing immediately. At this time, we have no way to accurately predict when City Hall will reopen. We are hopeful to reopen tomorrow for normal operating hours; please continue to follow us for updates.
* We are taking payments in-person for Beaches Energy Services through our drop box at City Hall (checks only) and online at BeachesEnergyServices.com
* Emergency services and public safety are still fully operational. Please continue to call 911 if there is an emergency.
* There will be extreme delays in sending or receiving emails with City staff and officials.
* Waste services will continue as normal
* Public Works Crews and Beaches Energy Crews will continue to work as normal.
* Our Information Services team is working tirelessly to restore service to 100%
