On imagination. The world may try to shake you of your imagination. Wether for someone’s else’s profit, jealously, personal fears or personal gains. Don’t let anyone shake you of your curiosity and creativity. The more you can develop it, and release it upon the world over time, the more you will own it. Someone who has an overactive imagination shouldn’t worry about a lack of ideas but more how to start them up. Never let someone’s fears influence your decisions, If you trust your gut and don’t second guess yourself you’ll know when to move on to the next thing. I’m not a guru, I just love thinking and observation. Hold on to that glimmer of your imagination and don’t let someone kill it. You guide it, you can make your ideas relevant and you can undoubtedly turn nothing into something. I’m still working on it. The more I tell myself who I am, keep my morals and mantras tight, I will continually feel better. Anytime I’ve let someone define me, I have let myself down, and threw away my confidence and potential. I’m a creative, and in my opinion true creativity is all about creating your own path. Combining things in to your own recipe. Thinking out side the box is about taking things, topics, ideas that society at large doesn’t think go together and figuring out how they merge and the qualities that can work in tandem. What I make and create is a large part of my identity. If I’m marking something, it is a medley of what I care about. You still stay observant and hold what is relevant in the world in your mind but once you know what you care about above anything else, the art, music and the story follow.

Imagination is key

Jaxon is not your average filmmaker, musician or storyteller. Jaxon started out writing songs at the early age of seven, inspired by the likes of Neil Young, Randy Newman, ELO, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, he developed his passion for music. His parents were veterans of the entertainment business, and there was an influx of movies in his early days. In Junior High, he decided filmmaking was the next step. Making films for 9 years as a student, Jaxon developed his portfolio of work and has had his short films placed in student and international film festivals around the country. He has a knack for depth, satire and immersing you in another reality. Jaxon doesn’t strive to be different, he just is, and at the age of 24 he’s now setting the pavement for his next big projects.
