What is Q***rWOC?
#Q***rWOC, is the community podcast for all things Q***r Women/Folks of Color community and healing. Based in Syracuse, NY. Hosted by Money, the Family Therapist, and Nikeeta, the workers rights organizer. We call ourselves an “insurgent biweekly audio syllabus” as we are committed to uniting and inciting our communities. For the past three years and over 70 episodes, we have been educating as well as building and sustaining community for q***r women of color--a marginalized group that often slips through the cracks of various intersections.We have covered a wide array of topics from the “7 Dimensions of Wellness,” how organizers fought to remove “homosexuality” from the DSM, the experiences and challenges q***r people in rural communities face, healthy communitcation in relationships, all the way to local farmworker organizing victories here in Central New york. We have also had the privilege of interviewing illustrious Black Feminist geniuses, such as Barbara Smith, Charlene Carruthers, and Alexis Pauline Gumbs.
