Most of our stories start in the courtroom. Aced magazine sat down with me to discuss the inspiration behind Tulsa. During the interview, I shared about a trial I was preparing for, where I represented a family that had experienced a devastating tragedy. One of the family members shared how their daughter, who used to love going dancing with her father, could only dance for ten minutes before having to leave due to the trauma they had experienced. This stuck with me and was part of the spark that ignited the creation of the film.

For the creative souls out there: I wanted to share with you an interview I did with Script magazine about my writing process for Tulsa. As the star, writer and co-director of the film, I'm thrilled to be able to share some insight into my journey and love for storytelling.

During the interview, we discussed the connection between being creative both in the courtroom and in film and how that influenced my writing process. We also shared our experiences with marketing and distribution as independent filmmakers and offered some practical advice for anyone interested in pursuing filmmaking as their calling.
