Terminal Radio began as an experimental radio offshoot of Terminal Window – a compilation series created by a group of ambient/IDM and FSOL fans. Each month, multiple artists join together to create 2 hour or more hypertrips, connected by various sound samples and oddities. Loose Link, Ross Baker, Nmesh, Off Land, Herd, Akkya, Noisesurfer, Sy Haze and many more artists were invited to contribute t
racks and collaborations to the original album, given nothing but the title Terminal Window. Subsequently FSOLboard members who had made tracks for the Terminal Window series together with general fans of Future Sound of London and ambient music were each invited to contribute a 15 minute mix. Eight of these were collected and mixed together into the two hour Terminal Radio trip. Each volume features eight more alternate universes converging into one super quadaural meta-brain. Since the shows inception, a large cast of musicians, artists and DJs have contributed mixes to Terminal Radio, including Neotropic, Scanner, DVNT, Alan Dougans (the brother of Brian Dougans of The Future Sound of London, DF Tram, Halftribe, Roel Funcken, S A Fred, Seafar, and many others. Transmissions 1 to 13 (including the first year anniversary three hour special) were curated by Craig Gillman aka Loose Link. Transmissions have since been curated by Herd, Ross Baker and Noisesurfer.
