SO proud of this summer camp journal, and a huge thanks to my sister for giving her insights and feedback as an educator on how to help kids actually use the journals their parents send with them to camp. Oh and to my boys who helped to proofread, make sure kids would understand what to do on each page, and just being awesome.

DC Travel Magazine

Washington DC is a complex city. Not only is it the nation’s capital, but it is also an international hub filled with communities, cuisine, cherry blossoms, arts and culture that millions come to experience every year.

Figuring out the city in one visit can be a daunting task. As we looked around when we moved to the city in 2014, we couldn’t find the information we needed. The top 10 things to do in DC was covered, but not the nitty gritty information that visitors and new transplants would need to get from point A to point B.

After a lot of research, much of it edible, we launched DC Travel Magazine to be a the travel planning tool for anyone visiting the area or moving here. Not only are we covering Washington DC, but we are heading as far north as Baltimore and as far south as Richmond. We will also explore west to the Shenandoah Mountains and east throughout the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland and Delaware Beaches. After all, when you come to DC, you don’t always stick to the city, you may want to see a little bit more that the mid-Atlantic has to offer.
