From the city:

On Thursday, Nov. 16, the South Burlington Water Department will shut water off on Spear Street between Allen Road and Pheasant Way.

The service interruption is for the repair of a fire hydrant that was damaged by a vehicle and needs to be replaced. The city says it anticipates that the water will be off between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Affected customers include everyone on Spear Street between Pheasant Way and Allen Road, all the South Pointe development, Chaplin Lane and Westview Drive.

Customers may experience discolored water when it is restored and should let their cold-water faucets run until clear.
