Some things should just stay off limits. However, that doesn’t seem to be a thought in Raven Cook’s mind as she crosses a line she can’t uncross. Letting her impulsive emotions lead her down a road of nothing but lies and betrayal, Raven is unable to stop herself from starting an illicit affair with her best friend’s married father.
As they fall deeper into a web of lust and infatuation, Raven struggles with juggling her feelings about her relationship with Dashon, and also with lying to her best friend Zari. She hates how she’s become a snake in the best friend department, but isn’t willing to give up her newfound happiness with Dashon. The situation grows messier and riskier as Dashon and Raven begin to fall for each other, a result that can only end in disaster. The further Raven entangles herself into the Oakleys’ lives, the more secrets come to light about them, revealing a painful past about the man she’s losing her heart to.
