BANKRUPTCY
After almost 10 years of business with MÂY, Tran had decided that things needed to cut down drastically from singers, employees, etc. Many people are involved with distributing pirated copies of HOLLYWOOD NIGHT. Ngoc Lan, one of the leading idols of the shows was dying from illness (she also performed during her illness [eyesight loss]) When she could no longer perform on stage Lan filmed music videos for the final shows. Trầm Tử Thiêng, the musical director of HOLLYWOOD NIGHT was also ill and could not continue working for the production. Ngoc Lan 1 - Nhu Em Da Yeu Anh (1990)
Ngoc Lan 2 - Mat Troi Ben Kia Mua Ha (1991)

Thanh Lan, Anh Dung, Khanh Ha, Phuong Lien..so on. In 2001, May Productions released a three part program in memory of the late singer Ngoc Lan entitled "Nhu La Ky Niem" (Like a memory). This video consisted of all the performances she did for Hollywood Night including some favorite memories shared by close friends in the music industry. And an interview done by Eye On LA from 1990. Tran Thang eventually tried to make a comeback with Da Lan Productions, a label he worked with during the 1980s. Da Lan 1 - Trieu Doa Hong Cho Phu Nu Viet Nam (2003)
*celebrating and remembering the sacrificeds of the Vietnamese woman. Da Lan 2 - Cuoc Kho Nan Cua Nguoi Viet Nam (2004)

Sadly the world of pirating was too strong for Tran Thang's comeback.2006, Thang made a guest appearance in Asia 51 "Thirty years of Golden Love Songs After The War". He shed his tears in front of a Dallas audience in the Majectic Theatre that June summer evening from hearing an audience member yell out "Never give up!"

The only words Thang could say was, for the other music labels that still existed, to "never give up themselves and support these companies by buying the real products." There has been no word yet since that night from Tran Thang, but his mark in the Vietnamese music community always will be a part of history and will stay in our memories.
