What is Getting To The Root?

Launched in the fall of 2017, Getting To The Root (GTTR) is a weekly, student-driven audio documentary program developed by three Hofstra University students (Nailah Andre, Dennis Belen-Morales, & Ben Abrams) and Hofstra Professor Mario A. Murillo.

At it’s core, GTTR is a grassroots program, exploring community issues through in-depth journalism. We aim to shed light on important stories in the greater New York area and beyond.

GTTR broadcasts on a weekly basis on WRHU Hempstead (88.7FM) at 4p.m., and available for listening online wherever podcasts are found.
