What is the "strangest" food you ever tried? No really, tell us. We want to know!

Strange is in quotes because what might be a tradition in other societies may be reasonably unusual or unfamiliar to you, leaving you with questions like:

🥚 What is balut?

🧀 Why is the consumption of casu martzu controversial?

🦈 What's the story behind hákarl?

John Robert Sutton wants to answer all of your questions about food.

Sharing major advances in podcast monetization and IP exploitation from industry innovators at yesterday were these industry leaders - and here were our top takeaways from each:

Kathy Doyle - CurtCo Media
- Think about potential monetization extensions beyond your podcast (Great example: Sporkful invented Cascatelli pasta)
- Learning can bring in revenue
- Research who might be interested in licensing your content (e.g. waiting rooms and airlines)

Sarah van Mosel -
- Take the spirit of a podcast and turn into something else (e.g. a game)

Jeff Weiner - and
- For podcast tours: VIP tickets work (most people want to meet the talent), the cost of having merch may outweigh the opportunity to make revenue, and the last minute ticket buyer is a real thing

Chris Denson - Independent
- Example of expanding IP into other revenue streams: A mixed tape based on a book that sold really well

Kerri Kolen -
- Often the “next thing” is a part of the “original thing”

This panel offered many actionable steps for creating a deeper connection with listeners and creating new forms of revenue!

"You can go one way and see world-class Pinot Noir and go the other way and see world-class Cabernet Sauvignon." - Chris Jackson of Jackson Family Wines explains why he thinks Healdsburg, California is the best wine town to visit in the U.S. on today's episode of "Travel That Matters" with Bruce Wallin.

You may know Jackson Family Wines for the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates award-winning Chardonnay, but did you know the family business has expanded through out its four-decade existence to a global portfolio of wineries and vineyards that span California, Oregon, Italy, France, Australia, Chile, and South Africa?

During the interview, Chris paints a beautiful picture of their property Stonestreet Winery - a sponsor of this season of "Travel That Matters" - and its 54,000 acre estate, with 700 acres under vine and 70 different soil types. He explains in detail what wines you taste on their Stonestreet Mountain Excursion while you enjoy unrivaled views of Alexander Valley along vineyards that range in elevation from 400 to 2400 feet.

After listening, you'll be rushing to book your trip to Sonoma County. Plus, listeners of this season of "Travel That Matters" have been offered a special deal. Check it out: https://link.chtbl.com/MasterChefSeries

Including a long list of restaurants in New Orleans, Chef Nina Compton gives "Travel That Matters" listeners countless travel tips for culinary destinations, including Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Nina is a James Beard Foundation award winning Saint Lucian chef currently living in New Orleans and the runner up of Bravo's Top Chef Season 11.

As Saint Lucia is her home country, she dives deep into tasty local spots most tourists don't know about, what her Saint Lucian family eats for Christmas, and how her journey to becoming a chef started in Saint Lucia.

(Fun fact: Nina's dad was the first Prime Minister of independent Saint Lucia!)

Now she's been calling New Orleans home for over 8 years and gives listeners insider tips of where to eat and what types of food you can find in New Orleans, if you know what to look for. She also gives chef recommendations of what to order at her restaurant, Compere Lapin.

Of course, she also talks about her experience on Top Chef, and much more.
