We are pleased to introduce the next book to be published by Envision Earth Media (a division of The Open Circle LLC, OH, USA), ‘Seedling in the Sand - Volume 1’ by Greenananda! It is a collection of quotations on topics like environment, ecology, democracy, social justice, human rights, gender issues, nonviolence, and diversity, and also the author’s poems.
About the author: Greenananda is the pen name of Mr. Suresh Nautiyal. He is a green, truth-seeker, minimalist, journalist, playwright, editor, poet, humanist and meliorist.
He has been a journalist since 1984. His last assignment was as Consulting Editor with the United News of India (one of the largest newswires in India) HQ at New Delhi. Before that, he worked with ‘The Observer of Business and Politics’ as Special Correspondent. He has vast experience of covering political parties, political movements, social movements, and government ministries. Also, he is the Founder, Patron and Mentor of the India Greens Party, the only pan-India Green party in the country.
He played key roles in the foundation of several local, national, regional and international organisations like -- The High Hillers Group (theatre group, 1981), Uttarakhand Prabhat (Hindi tabloid, 2002), South Asia Dialogues on Ecological Democracy-SADED (ecology and democracy group, 2002), Uttarakhand Chaupal (think tank, 2002).
