The Liar's Bench 2014 The Liar's Bench is a seminar at the Virginia Ball Center featuring Ball State student artists writing a brand new musical about Brown County, Indiana.

Jennifer Blackmer, Associate Professor of Theatre at Ball State University, and her students will use theatre as a platform to explore the history of Brown County and Nashville, Indiana. They will transform their research into an original musical, following the story of Indiana photographer Frank Hohenberger during his time spent in the scenic Brown County. The musical will rehearse in both Muncie

and Nashville and will premiere in a staged reading at the Brown County Playhouse, the seminar’s community partner, as well as Sursa Hall on the Ball State campus.
